Interesting read- I’d just been to Glensheen and wanted to read more murders. The typos in this are crazy- to the point it was hard to read at times. This book is not formatted very well for .
Even though I had read several newspaper reports about the murders at Glensheen Mansion and actually live in Minnesota, I still found this book so riveting that I couldn't put it down. I have recommended it to several other people who agree that it is an excellently written book.
I read Glensheen's Daughter and then Will to Murder. Glen sheen's Daughter gave me an overview and Will to Murder gave more detail. Fascinating.
I recently visited the fascinating Glensheen Mansion (no mention of the murder is made during the tour) and my curiosity was piqued when I saw this book in the gift shop. So I came home and ordered it for my .
It was fascinating, but a lot of unanswered questions. The read was kind of dry at times, like the recounting of the trials. I liked it because I was interested in the story of the mansion, but as a stand alone crime novel, would probably have not cared for this book at all.
An amazing story! I like the way the book goes into detail in her early life---it adds a background to what happens later. It's definitely a page turner! I was especially interested in the story as we toured the Glensheen Mansion a number of years ago and was able to visualize the place.
If you have any interest in the Glensheen Mansion or just in biographies, this book is very interesting! It gives great insight and details into Marjorie's life and details of the number of strange events that happened in her life. It is well written and easy to follow. I also enjoy that there are pictures in the book to help you out faces to names.
